About HourSwift

There is nothing to sign up for at HourSwift. It is a time zone converter, it does one thing — converts a time across zones, compares several at once and finds a meeting slot that suits everyone, following daylight-saving changes as they happen — and it gives you the answer without first asking who you are.

Why HourSwift exists

There is no shortage of everyday-utility tools online; what is scarce is one that respects your time. HourSwift is deliberately narrow — it converts a time across zones, compares several at once and finds a meeting slot that suits everyone, following daylight-saving changes as they happen and stops there. A small, honest tool beats a sprawling page that buries the answer under advertising.

How it works

The calculation happens in your browser, not on a server. Specifically, it resolves each zone to its offset from UTC for the date in question using the IANA time-zone database, so a city that has moved to summer time shifts in the answer automatically instead of by a fixed number of hours. The method is documented rather than concealed, so you can reproduce a result by hand and see exactly where any difference comes from.

Privacy by default

This is a local tool by construction. The times and zones you pick never leave your device; there is no endpoint to receive them and no log to read them back from. Disconnecting from the internet after the page loads changes nothing about how it behaves.

Who this is for

Keeping the lights on

Advertising pays for the running of HourSwift; nothing here is subscription-based. No advertiser is given the values you enter, and an advert appearing beside a tool is never a recommendation of it.
