HourSwift ("we", "us") operates hourswift.com. This page explains what data we handle and the choices you have. The short version: the times and zones you pick are processed on your own device and never leave your browser.

Scope of this policy

HourSwift is a time zone converter: it converts a time across zones, compares several at once and finds a meeting slot that suits everyone, following daylight-saving changes as they happen. In practice, it resolves each zone to its offset from UTC for the date in question using the IANA time-zone database, so a city that has moved to summer time shifts in the answer automatically instead of by a fixed number of hours. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.

Practically, all the calculation needs is the times and zones you pick. Typical reasons people open HourSwift include checking whether an overseas office is open, and in every case the work happens on the visitor's own device rather than ours.

Your inputs

Every result here is produced by JavaScript running in your browser. Your inputs are used only to render the answer on the page: they are not transmitted to a server, stored, sold, or shared. The calculation needs nothing beyond what is already on the page — it simply resolves each zone to its offset from UTC for the date in question using the IANA time-zone database.

Updates to this page

The policy is kept current with the site. When something material changes, the date at the top is updated so the revision is visible.

What is collected automatically

The hosting layer sees what any web server sees — client address, requested path, user agent, time — and that is the limit of it. None of those records contains the values you type into the time zone converter, because those never reach the server.

Cookies, ads and advertising partners

Advertising keeps the site free and is delivered by external networks, which may use cookies or similar technologies to show interest-based ads. Google, as one such partner, lets you opt out through its ad settings. Turning cookies off does not break anything here.

Analytics and aggregate statistics

Any measurement we do is statistical rather than personal: how many people opened a page, roughly where from, and which tools get used. It is aggregated before it is read, and the values you type are never part of it.

The values you enter

The values you enter are used only to render the answer on the page. They are not sent anywhere, not stored after you leave, and not linked to you in any way.

Retention and security

Because your inputs are never transmitted, there is no store of personal measurements to retain or protect. Standard security practice applies to the site itself, including HTTPS on every page.

Children's privacy

The site is not designed for, or marketed to, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

The rights you have

Privacy law in some regions gives you the right to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data held about you. In practice we hold almost nothing tied to you, since calculator input never reaches us, but any request you make will be taken seriously.

Contact

To ask about privacy, or to exercise a right, the contact page is the way to get through.
